Henry Hub in Erath, Louisiana, is the delivery point of the NYMEX natural gas futures contract and the main US gas benchmark. Many US LNG export contracts are priced at a percentage of Henry Hub plus a fixed liquefaction fee.
Prices are quoted in US dollars per million British thermal units (MMBtu). Henry Hub is often compared with Europe’s TTF and Asia’s JKM benchmarks to judge the profitability of LNG exports.
