Who it is for

Advice for every side of a crude sale

Producers

Upstream companies and field operators with crude to sell, who want access to qualified refiners and end-buyers.

Sellers and traders

Companies holding title to cargoes that need buyer identification, pricing support or a contract review.

Buyers

Refiners and end-buyers that want a verified seller and a cargo whose documents can be confirmed.

Mandate

How a sales mandate works

  1. Assessment

We review the grade, its assay, volumes, loading terms and any existing contracts.

  2. Marketing plan

We agree the target buyers, pricing structure and timetable with you.

  3. Buyer KYC and tender

Qualified buyers are verified and invited to bid on clear, written terms.

  4. Contract and lifting

We support the negotiation of the sale and purchase agreement and coordinate nominations and the lifting.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do you buy and sell crude yourselves, or act as an adviser?

Both are possible. We can buy and sell cargoes as a principal, or act as an adviser to a producer or seller under a written mandate. The role is agreed in writing before work begins.

How are your fees set?

Fees depend on the scope of the mandate and are agreed in writing before work begins. We never ask for payment for product allocation or “proof of product”.

Which benchmarks do you use?

Usually Dated Brent for Atlantic Basin and Mediterranean sales, and Dubai/Oman for Middle East crude sold to Asia, plus or minus a differential for quality and location.

Do you handle sanctioned crude?

No. We do not deal with sanctioned persons, entities, vessels or jurisdictions, and every party and vessel is screened before we engage.
